When I arrived, I was greeted by David and Kym. As we talked and laughed, the tension in my chest subsided. What was this? I actually felt comfortable??? So needless to say, I joined….I was so excited that I didn’t sign up for 1, 2 or 3 months..I signed up for at least 6!!!! So after years of absolute laziness, and after a hour long talk with David and Kym, I was suddenly ready to commit to something bigger than me?? Something beautiful and truly amazing started growing inside of me that very day!!!!

In my initial consultation I was asked what I found to be my problem areas. Of course it was everywhere, but my biggest issue was my behind!!!! I called it “S.A.S…saggy ass syndrome.” And do you know that after just 2 weeks I was able to flex back there!!!!!

I used to have gobs upon gobs of cellulite, a woman’s worse enemy!!!!! I can honestly say that after week 4, it was almost all gone!!!!! What?!!!! Can this really happen??? It did for me!!!!!

All in all though, my biggest transformation has been inside of me. Just after my first two workouts , I realized that when I was done and boy I was tired and sweaty…Technically i wanted to fall over, but for some reason I had never felt so good in my life!!!! After my first 2 weeks at Totally New You I was dealt a huge emotional blow in my life..Typically, I would crawl into bed and waller in my own misery…Oh NO!!!! Not this chick!!! I pushed through! I kept coming in and I kept pushing harder!!What was this transformation? No quitting or giving up?? I was looking at my life and what was important in a whole new light..Something had happened..I had been transformed into a totally new me!!

I still come to every class and work as hard as my body will let me. I know what will happen if I give up on exercise. I will be giving up on me as a person.. Why would I dare give up the person I have turned out to be. I love me! I love the totally new me !!!!!

HOLY CRAP! I can’t believe I did this! This is truly amazing! 12 inches or so gone!

I’m seriously just staring at this picture because I cannot believe how much my body has changed in JUST A MONTH! You know I was really in a funk from Jan-Feb but in March I really honed in and found my motivation and stuck with it! I am so proud of myself…

Just as a side note (from David), Crystal Kirkland Perrow the big difference seems to have come when you Stopped focusing on weight loss, and started focusing on an athletic goal. Looks are a Side Effect, not the primary goal. Looking smoking good is a great side effect though =)

We have several teams formed for the USMC Mud Run in Columbia SC on October 15th, and she has been working her butt off with Kym getting ready for it.

In addition to being a results badass, Crystal is one of the best graphic designers I know! We just redesigned our whole site around her header artwork. You Rock Crystal!

“David Hoffmaster and Kym Roberts had me set a goal on March 10th. My goal was that I would be a size 10 (was then 14), and 150 lbs (was then 165) by June 1st. I am happy to say that I am now 148 lbs, and a size 8 … two weeks early!

I am now back to the size i was (which i haven’t seen since) when I left the Marine Corps 7 years ago.”

‎”1985 to 2011 – 26 years! This is it! The end of my commitment to run the Bay to Breakers in SF until it’s 100th anniversary with my friend Tony. Live thorugh this one and it is y last. Time to head out!

In 1985 I made a pact with my friend Tony to run the Bay To Breakers 12K in SF till the 100th. Today was the 100th and our 26th yr to run it. My goal was to run the entire race, including the steep Hayes St hill, in 90 mins or less.  I did it in 77:52 mins!

Thanks to Totally New You for the workouts that built up my strength and stamina. In my head I heard, Mistress Kym saying “Just a little more to the top of the hill – DON’T QUIT!“; J-Lo saying “You can do it!; and saw Lisa with a contorted look of pain, yet not giving up, which inspired me to do same.”

I got a massage from Joe last friday – I want to marry this man and keep Dave (her fiance) on the side for a free place to stay in canada… no – i did not cry.  ;)

John has lost 29 pounds and almost 5 inches off his belly fat, but here is an account of the health changes he has achieved since he began with us.

I just thought I would give you some positive feedback on your program.  I usually have a physical at the end of every year.  This November I did so as usual.  The results are great!  I am 30 pounds lighter.  My total Cholesterol is down 23 points to 179.  LDL down 17 points.  The HDL is up by 5 points.

The real interesting thing is that my HDL is 39.  Now this is just below the range they would like to see.  However, I have been keeping records of my cholesterol since 1981.   My HDL has been as low as 28 and has more often than not been around 32, the highest ever was 38.  When I ran a marathon in 1990 it was 31!  It is part of my inherited genetics to have a low HDL, but as you can see 39 is great for me.  My LDL/HDL ration has never been in the acceptable range…until now!  It is now 3.2 which is in the favorable range!  My triglycerides are down to 80 from 136.

Bottom line the blood test shows I am healthy today.  Best of all I am stronger and feel better.  Good nutrition, proper exercise with guidance by you and Kym has paid off for me.  Thanks I couldn’t have done it without you, Kym and my workout buddies!
