Here is a quick idea for getting things done, reaching your goals, and remembering important things.
Use five 3 x 5 index cards that you can keep in a small leather case.
A blank card on which to jot down random thoughts, and four additional cards on which to list yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals.
That way you have a Simple, Easy to update system that you can take with you anywhere! Review them each morning, and whenever you have a spare moment.
You will be amazed at how much this simple idea can help.
When you have a bunch of stuff to remember, but have a hard time remembering or getting to them, your body has what is called “Open Loops”.
Open Loops are promises you have made to yourself, but have not yet followed up on. Your subconscious brain will keep bringing them up, but usually when you can’t do anything about them. If you want to learn more about this, get the book “Getting Things Done” by David Allen.
If you get in the habit of writing these down as they come to you, In ONE place where your subconscious knows you won’t forget them, it can close some of these open loops. It is like having external memory, freeing up your RAM for the things you have to do now.
This Reduces Stress and Improves Your Concentration.
