John Arriati lost 26 pounds and 4.5 inches off of his belly at Totally New You! Wellness Coaching.
David, I Experimented…
Well I conducted an experiment regarding your program. It wasn’t intentional, but it was definitive. I ate nutritionally for over 7 weeks. I ate nothing with ingredients, no processed sugar, the only dairy was milk in my coffee, no wheat, and very few starch carbohydrates (sweet potatoes). I kept my calories under 1,500 for 7 weeks. I also exercised intensely with a group at Totally New You 4 days a week and did other exercises, mostly waling a few miles of hills, on other days of the week. I lost weight, gained muscle mass, looked and felt better.
Last Saturday I stated a vacation that ended this Sunday. During that time we were sharing a lake house with friends from SC who don’t eat the way described above. During this time, I ate everything. Processed sugar like pastries for breakfast, pasta, hamburgers, ice cream, etc. I ate very little vegetables. I also did not do any exercising, unless you can call floating in the lake exercise!
The results: I found that when I had sugar in the morning I was hungry all day. My portions sizes grew, yet I stayed hungry. I continued to crave sugar. I am convinced I am a sugar addict. I also didn’t have the energy that I had previously. I felt sluggish. In addition, nothing taste as good as I thought it was going to be. My memory of the food I hadn’t been eating while on a nutritional program was embellished compared to what it really tasted like. I also found that I didn’t have the same attitude. I was grumpier than when I ate right. Finally, I also found that I began itching and in various spots on my body had a rash. Most of my life I had this problem of itching and rashes. I believe this was caused from too much processed sugar. I had no itching or rashes when I was eating and exercising with Totally New You. Basically, I gained weight, had less energy, felt and looked (puffy in the face, etc) worse.
Bottom line: I had more energy, was stronger, leaner and had a better attitude when I worked the Totally New You recommendations. it may not be as easy to eat correctly because it takes more planning and changing of habits, but it is worth it. The exercise is tough, but it makes me feel better when it is completed. Overall I feel better and my wife says I am easier to live with when I stick to a nutritional diet and exercise.
I am back!!! Experiment over. I will see you at exercise this afternoon.
