Nature’s Perfect Thirst-Quencher

The best drink for both weight loss and health is… water.

Two of the main functions of water in the body include temperature regulation and removal of waste products.

Here are 4 great reasons to fill your glass to the brim with crystal clear water:

  1. Staying hydrated enhances weight loss.
  2. Drinking water prevents dehydration.
  3. Filling your stomach with water before meals prevents overeating.
  4. Quenching your thirst with water hydrates your skin, giving it a more youthful glow.

It’s a lot easier to drink extra calories than to eat them. Most of us drink 21% of our daily calories. An average of 460 each day! Just STOP!

Road Map to GET IT DONE

A Simple Map to time and energy management. Far too often we rush about trying to “find the time” to “get it all done”. What most of us fail to do though, is follow a System to Get It Done.

First: You MUST Ask – What is the Optimal Outcome? How will you know if a task is done if you don’t define the outcome you want? Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail!
Second: Get it on Paper! Write down Everything that comes to mind, even if it is unrelated to the current task. Write without judgement.
Third: Organize your Written Thoughts. What is Important? What is Urgent? What will bring you Closer to your Goal? What should be Saved for Later?

There is Never enough time to do Everything,
but there is Always enough time to do the Most Important thing.

Fourth: Get Rid of the Useless. Why do things that don’t contribute? Before adding to your “To Do List”, make a “Not to Do List”. And for God’s sake – Turn off the TV!
Fifth: Is this the Best Use of My Time? If your time is worth $50 an hour, and you can fill those hours, don’t do $10 an hour tasks! You should fill your day with High Value tasks – Even if you must do them for FREE at 1st.
Sixth: Save Time by Doing Similar Tasks Together. If you have several phone calls to make, schedule them back to back. The same goes Quadruple for Email. Consider the start up and transition time costs. You can get Way more done without interruptions.
Seventh: Just Do It. When you get to this point you need to put your head down and Plow through your to do list. Set a time limit, and Don’t Stop until you are either done, or it is the scheduled time to move to the next project. No Excuses. No Whining. Just Do It.
Eighth: Make Systems. If this is a Repeated Task, Write Down what you did so that you can do it Faster or Delegate it next time. This is the Best Kept Secret of the Truly Productive!
Ninth: Can you Improve or make what you did more Efficient? Self Explanatory.

  1. Determine Destination
  2. Brainstorm
  3. Prioritize
  4. Eliminate
  5. Delegate
  6. Chunk like tasks into time blocks
  7. Take Massive Action
  8. Systematize
  9. Review and Repeat

Healthy Chicken Fried Rice

This healthy version of a favorite recipe will provide you with a good dose of protein and carbohydrates to get you through the afternoon. You can easily make this the night before and store it in your fridge to grab quickly on your way out the door.

  • 3 oz Chicken Breast, diced
  • ½ cup Brown Rice (Raw Measurement)
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • ½ cup finely diced Peppers, Onions, and Mushrooms
  • ¾ cup Chicken Broth
  • ½ tbsp Soy Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Olive Oil

First dice chicken breast and stir-fry in 1 tsp of the olive oil until tender. Set aside.

Next, heat remaining oil in pan and pour in egg whites, stirring until cooked. Remove from pan and set aside with the chicken.

Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce into a pot and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat, add in vegetables along with rice, cover, and simmer for five to ten minutes, or as indicated by the package directions.

Once finished, stir back in the chicken and egg whites and gently pan fry for 1-2 minutes until slightly crispy. Serve.
